Hi this is Derek from Bondurant. We arrived at Hilltop Christian School last night around 10:30pm it was dark and cool out. All of us were exhausted and ready for bed. We awoke this morning this morning with a dusting of snow on the ground. The scenery looks really beautiful from our window. Snow highlights next to red clay colored rock cliffs.
Everyone seems to be getting along wonderfully. This is my first trip away from my family doing something like this, so I am not sure what to expect here. All I can say is” Here I am Lord.”
On the way down here at our rest stops I bumped into other believers who offered words of encouragement. Reminds me of scripture in Proverbs that says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways acknowledges Him and He shall direct your paths.”
Well this is my first attempt at a blog. Sorry so short.

We love you and miss you, daddy. We think it is pretty neat you got to write the first entry. We have been looking at WindowRock on the map and showing the boys that is where daddy is helping people on his big trip. To you and all those you are traveling with and visiting, we say, "Be Blessed!"
