Thank you! From the Jamie Peterson Family

Thank You!!

These past few months have definitely been a journey.  We never know the path God will choose for us to walk, but whatever it is, we can be assured He’ll show up along the way.  In the book of Proverbs, it instructs us to trust in the Lord and not to rely on our own understanding.  When Jamie was diagnosed with Leukemia we for sure did not understand!  After the initial shock of his diagnosis, Jamie’s biggest concern was for the kids and our family.  He had to trust God to take care of things and he knew it was out of his hands.  But just because our family has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, doesn’t mean we weren’t scared through all of this.  We definitely had those moments, but  God showed up to help us walk this rough road through all of you!  From the beginning, we saw God’s hand all over this part of our life.  Our faith has been strengthened by the overwhelming support of family, friends, and even strangers along the way.  Thank you does not seem enough for the gifts of snow removal, cleaning/painting, caring for the kids, food, giftcards, encouraging words, and prayers we’ve received.  God has blessed us in so many ways with an unbelievable community of people who unselfishly put their lives aside to help us.

A little over a year ago, our family was blessed to go on a mission trip to Haiti.  One day as we walked through the town of Pignon, we saw a fence with the words “ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD”.  In this poverty stricken country you would not expect to see this statement.  This picture has been on our refrigerator since we returned reminding our family that no matter what the circumstances, He will take care of us.  We might not always like where we are or understand the reasons we are there, but in the end, “ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!”

Jamie continues to recover and gain back the strength the chemo took away.  He’s back to doing regular activities, but still tires very quickly.  His last checkup showed no signs of cancer.  Praise God!  Jamie returned to work on June 5th.

Thank you Prairie Ridge family for all your prayers and support!

With love,
Jamie, Wendy, Sydney, and Sage Peterson
