Hire a Youth

If you have an odd job (yard work, baby sitting, washing your car etc) and you were going to pay someone to do it, then maybe think about paying one of our youth group students. We will advertise these options to students who are going on mission trips to help them fund their trips. 

This summer students are going to California, Tennessee and Canada. Average trip cost is $500. 

If you have an opportunity to 'hire a youth', just email or text youth director, doug applegate at 515. 205.7070 or dapplegate@ridgelife.org. Give a short description of the job and include your name and number and if texting is okay. He will send out the request to the youth instructing them to contact you directly. It's a first come, first serve opportunity. So when a youth contacts you, you can talk through the details with them. 

After initially contacting doug, if you do not get a response from a youth, you can contact doug again and he will send out the request a second time if you wish. 

Payment can be anything you think is fair. One year we had a lady who wanted to bless a youth with $150 so she had him do a small chore that only took a couple hours. Most the time people will pay around $10/hr. Sometimes for smaller jobs that only take an hour, a youth might receive more.
