Too Busy Not to Pray

BUSY: 1) having a great deal to do.  2) keep occupied.  That's definitely the definition of what's been happening around the Ridge the past several weeks. Preparations for the launch of the junkyard, children's ministries, Alpha, a new season with Life Together and the HERD and all of our classes.  It's exciting stuff and these things keep us "busy".

I was reminded a few weeks ago that the busy-ness can keep us from doing the most important thing: Praying.
We find ourselves in recurrent conversations.  "We don't have enough volunteers."  "We need more hospitality people." "Who do you know who might like to help with X".  And so on this 31st day of August we are Praying with Purpose for these specific ministries:  Alpha, the HERD, Life together, and all the behind the scenes teams who help with administrative tasks at the Ridge.   Join us as we pray for more workers, but also as we pray for all who God by His Spirit wants to transform and heal and restore through these ministries.
This short prayer by the psalmist seems appropriate this morning:  PSALM 116: 1-2 " I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!"
