Prayer Focus for Thursday by Care Coordinator Debbie Longseth

Our life is full of brokenness-broken relationships,
broken promises,
broken expectations.
How can we live with that brokenness
without becoming bitter and resentful…
by returning again and again
to God’s faithful presence in our lives.  ~Henri Nouwen

Here at the Ridge we want to care for our people just as Jesus so passionately cared for his disciples and people. We want to help in the areas of grief, divorce, death, financial, marriage mentoring, infertility, our new arrivals (babies), meals and those who are dealing with illness. Sometimes it is hard to enter into those areas of hurt, brokenness, and real pain but it also important to remain connected with a larger community to which you belong. Care and compassion means full immersion of being vulnerable and powerless. We at the Ridge know that people matter to God and we care about you. We want God to touch you in a way that permanently fulfills your deepest need. As we come to together as caring individuals we will see results to glorify God. We want to enjoy this gift of life and not experience it alone or in darkness.  Actively participating in the lives of people is what we are called to do and you never know how your story might help and encourage others around you.

Please reach out to communitycare@ridgelife.com if you have questions or we can help you in any way. Be blessed!

Peace,
Debbie Longseth
