Tom's Thoughts on Mission Navajo (Highlight of the Trip)

I enjoyed the time on roadside trash detail with Ty, who I guessed was about a 4th-grader. Janelle assigned him to me, and with our exchanged glances she seemed to be saying: "He's trouble...keep an eye on this kid!". Not the case - the little guy was a model worker; followed instructions, and truly seemed to enjoy himself. I'm guessing he was just happy to get out of class and the usual routine...couldn't have been Tom's intimidating presence! It was one of those nice one-on-one encounters; we had a nice chat.
