Romans 12:12 by Kara Backes

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and always praying. Romans 12:12

Joyful in Hope
I am living with a  chronic illness that causes pain, fatigue and other things.  This is a season of struggle for me.  In this season I have to choose Joy some days and spend time with God very regularly to remember my Hope in Him.  My need for Him is so great and that brings me Joy.  How is God giving you Joy and Hope?

Patient in Affliction
Patience – hmmm- not easy, but something I keep learning more about.  I pray complete healing comes one day for me and I believe it will but for today I am patient.  Listening to God, allowing God to lead, in my weakness I know He is strong and in my patience He blesses me by using me in the midst of affliction.  What are you learning about patience?  How do you think God wants to use you today?

Faithful in prayer
Interesting concept – sounds nearly impossible and some days may be.  By the grace of God I have found the more I talk to God all day, the more time I take to rest and listen, and the more I turn to Him in my times of need and times of joy – its just not so hard.  Faithful in prayer – never ceasing to pray –Yes, please!

Thank you, God, for always, always being there and loving me even when my life isn't tied nicely in a bow.
So join me on this messy journey of Hope, Patience and always praying – Let’s trust God together!
